Nest of tables

This H & L Epstein nest of tables made in maple wood with black lacquer banding is beautifully fluted around the edges, with ribbed scrolled legs and an elegant leaf design at the foot. The table is extremely rare, and is made in a style remniscent of French designer Paul Follot's work. Follot exhibited furniture of this type at the great 1925 Paris Exhibition, which marked the beginning of the Art Deco movement.
