Pair of Console Tables
A pair of console tables, hand made circa 1928, to the specifications of the great designer/manufacturer
Maurice Adams, whose work is on display in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Maurice Adams Ltd was a relatively small designer/manufacturer, based at 6 Granville Place, Portman Square, London W1, which
concentrated more on interior design for the rich and famous of the Art Deco period.
These console tables are beautiful examples of Adams' work in the late 1920's. Adams console
tables are very rare to find indivdually and to find a pair is unbelievable. The wood
employed is Australian walnut with black lacquer banding, a combination that works so well on these
rare and superbly constructed pieces.
